A natural and quality diet

AYAM ™ only believes in quality ingredients, naturally prepared for its products.

We strive to promote healthy food products with short ingredient lists. We have banned genetically modified foods, preservatives, sodium glutamate, trans fats, hydrogenated fats from all of our products and bisphenol A from our packaging. Most of our products are free of colorings and artificial flavors.

We also limit the addition of additives to our products as much as possible: out of the 350 additives authorized by the European Union, AYAM ™ only authorizes 100 in order to be sure that the additives used in its products have a reputation and perfect quality.

AYAM ™ products are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities that meet the highest international quality standards, with globally recognized certifications (HACCP, ISO 9001).

 

No waste

As an environmentally conscious brand, we believe that the entire product should be used in the production process in order to limit our waste. For example, our coconut products factory uses the hulls to operate its burners, which saves fossil fuel consumption. The remaining waste is all recycled. All the coconuts are thus used.

AYAM ™ also minimizes the amount of packaging used for its products. The packaging of our products consists mainly of simple materials such as metal, glass or paper which are 100% recyclable.

In addition, AYAM ™ is committed to a long-term production program, for sustainable development and the safeguard of natural and environmental resources by trying to reduce waste and carbon footprint in our production chain. 

 

Sustainability

We have been a member of a Global Compact, the Singapore Network, since January 1, 2016. We are therefore committed to integrating the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact into the governance of our company and to respecting them. Our ESG reports openly monitor the progress of the company on its journey to sustainability.

Alfred Clouët, a French adventurer of taste

Alfred Clouët, French explorer of taste from Le Havre, puts aside the father's business of tailor to set off to conquer new flavors in Asia, in Singapore.

Birth of the company A. Clouët

Very quickly in 1892, Alfred Clouët created his own import-export company, A. Clouet & Co. He began by importing Menier chocolate, Bordeaux wines and even perfumes into Asia.

For about thirty years, Alfred Clouët developed his business in a dazzling way and discovered exotic flavors hitherto unknown; spices, curries, peppers, coconut milks and a whole repertoire of fabulous recipes.

The first canned food

A. Clouët decided to explore another product considered premium at the time: cans.

Being imported goods, cans were expensive at the time, beyond the reach of the general public. But A. Clouët is determined to make them accessible to everyone. He was also one of the pioneers in the marketing of canned food in Southeast Asia (canning is an avant-garde technology for the time, which consists of canning food in order to obtain a longer and better conservation of these).

En 1899, he began to market canned sardines, which proved to be very popular. Then he broadened his range of preserves to other products.

 

 

A. Clouët becomes Ayam Brand ™

The brand quickly became known and A. Clouët cans were quickly identified by the rooster represented on the brand's logo. Regular customers then began to call the brand “chop ayam”, which means “the brand of chicken” in Malay.

The management then decides to change the official name of the company to Ayam Brand ™.

Denis Group has a fascinating 158-year history. Founded in 1862 by Etienne Denis, the group's vision, mission, solid values ​​and commercial principles form the foundations of this exceptional longevity.
