A subtle blend of acid and sweetness, the sweet and sour sauce is the richness and originality of many dishes, especially in Asian gastronomy. Based on tomato paste, sugar and spices, it is traditionally used as an accompaniment sauce for fish, vegetables or even meat.

Our AYAM Sweet and Sour Sauce is ready to use and easy to cook. Tangy and subtly sweet, it can be used as a condiment, barbecue sauce or to caramelize and glaze meats, fish or vegetables, cooked in a wok or in a pan.

AYAM Sweet and Sour Sauce is made from high quality ingredients, which makes it a healthy product for your diet. It contains no preservatives or flavor enhancers and is certified gluten-free.

Chicken Sweet & Sour Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 500g chicken fillet, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 1 red pepper, finely diced
  • 1 green pepper, finely diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of minced ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 210ml of AYAM ™ sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of AYAM ™ soy sauce
  • 225g canned pineapple, chopped


  1. In a bowl, combine corn flour, chicken and egg.
  2. In a wok over medium heat, add 1 tablespoons of sunflower oil and cook the chicken pieces.
  3. Once cooked, set the chicken aside.
  4. In the same wok, add the 2nd tbsp. tablespoons of sunflower oil. Add the red and green peppers, onion, ginger and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables are cooked.
  5. Add the sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce. Mix.
  6. Add the pineapple and the chicken last, mix and cook for 5 minutes more until the sauce thickens and everything is well coated with the sauce.
