Our AYAM Sweet Soy sauce is ready to use and easy to cook in order to reproduce traditional Asian dishes at home. It is ideal to accompany sushi and sashimi or to add a note of sweetness to all dishes.

Tuna Maki with Soy Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced, lightly salted (about a 1/2 teaspoon of salt)
  • 1 minced onion
  • 400g of cooked rice, Japanese or basmati according to your preference
  • 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 sheet of nori
  • 1 can of canned tuna

Rice seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon of fish broth (or dashi)
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of AYAM ™ soy sauce
 

Accompaniement:

  • AYAM™ Salty Soy Sauce and Sweet Soy Sauce

Preparation:

  1. Mix together the fish broth (or dashi), vinegar, water, soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl. Stir until the sugar melts completely.
  2. Mix the rice with the resulting sauce.
    The sushi rice is ready.
  3. Place a nori sheet on the bamboo mat and put a little rice on one side of the nori sheet.
  4. Place strips of cucumber and pieces of tuna lengthwise. Place the onion and sesame seeds in a thin strip lengthwise as well.
  5. Roll up using the bamboo mat. Moisten the edge of the nori sheet with a little water so that it completely seals the resulting roll.
    It gets easy quickly with a little practice!
  6. Place the roll on a cutting board and cut into slices 2 cm thick.
    Serve the sushi with some accompaniments such as ginger, wasabi, sweet or salty soy sauce or with miso soup.
