Sambal sardines
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons of oil
- 3 tablespoons * of AYAM ™ Pepper Puree (adapt to your taste)
- 1 tablespoon of shrimp paste (optional)
- Ginger
- 250g canned sardines with tomato
- 50ml of tamarind pulp
- 200ml of AYAM ™ coconut milk
- 12 g sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 2 onions, quartered
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a wok. Fry the chili puree, shrimp paste and ginger until you get a fragrant smell. Add the sardines and brown them briefly, breaking the sardines into pieces.
- Add the tamarind paste, coconut milk, sugar and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly. Finally add the onions and stir until the onions are slightly wilted. Transfer to a dish and serve.
- It is advisable to accompany it with rice or bread.
