
Steamed Sardines with Ginger
Ingredients:
- 1 tin of sardines in olive oil (keep the oil)
- 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger
- 1 spring onion stalk, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 3 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons of AYAM ™ soy sauce
- Sugar to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the sardines in half lengthwise and keep the oil.
- Arrange the sardines on a steaming dish.
- Mix the ginger and the oil from the tin of sardines using a food processor to form a paste.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan and sauté the ginger paste until fragrant.
- Pour the mixture on top of the sardines and steam them for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the soy sauce, water and sugar.
- When the sardines are ready, pour the soy mixture over the whole and serve hot.
