
Tomato and Caramelized Onion Tart
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 3 large red onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of AYAM ™ Sweet and Sour sauce
- ¼ teaspoon AYAM ™ Sesame Oil
- 3 teaspoons of grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon of Chinese rice wine vinegar
- 200g cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- A few fresh basil leaves
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Add the onions and cook gently for 15 minutes until the onions are tender. Mix frequently.
- Add the sweet and sour sauce, sesame oil, ginger and vinegar. Stir on the heat for 1 minute.
- Spread the puff pastry on a sheet of baking paper in a baking sheet. Using a small sharp knife, score the dough 1,5 cm from the edge (to mark a border). Bake for 10 minutes in the oven.
- Remove from the oven and let the central part fall.
- Cover with the onions. Place the tomatoes on top. Bake for 20 minutes until the dough is colored. Place a few basil leaves before serving.
